This winter, three baseball parks across the U.S. have been transformed into winter wonderlands. Visitors travel through a maze of presents, trees, and stars—all made of 2.5 to 3 million twinkling holiday lights!
Each maze starts with a story, explains Jared Schmale. He’s the creative director for Enchant Christmas. This company built the light shows in Seattle, Washington; St. Petersburg, Florida; and Washington, D.C.
It takes 8 months to plan and 2 to 3 weeks to build each maze. But seeing visitors’ smiling faces makes the hard work worthwhile to Schmale. “Knowing I have a hand in creating that for them is extremely rewarding,” he says.
